Elisabetta Sechi is the 'Componidori' of the Sa Sartiglia festival on Shrove Tuesday 2010 in Oristano, Sardinia, Italy. She is only the second woman to be given the honoured lead role as Componidori in over 500 years of the festival's history. As tradition dictates she rides her Sa Remada gallop lying over the back of her horse, holding a double ended bouquet of purple violets.
