The White Turf race meeting has taken place on the frozen lake at St Moritz in Switzerland since 1907. It attracts wealthy businessmen, the European aristocracy, leading jockeys and big sponsorship. Three different kinds of race discipline are held - flat racing, trotting and skijoring. Continuous snowfall throughout the day of the final meeting in February 2011 did not affect the attendance or the excitement of the event.
