REFLECT, REPOSE - A DUAL PERSPECTIVE ON PARIS

Reflect, Repose is a comparative collaboration between Rupert Sagar-Musgrave and Zsuzsanna Ardó.
This joint exhibition looks at individuals and groups at rest in Parisian public spaces, such as gardens and by the riverbank. Reflect, Repose explores some of the ways in which we create our own intimate spaces in public and captures some of the ways in which Parisians choose to relax - alone and with others.
The collaborative nature of the exhibition is in the curating of each other's images, rather than in taking the photographs together, or defined by the same time period or indeed purpose in mind. The photographs were taken in 1993 and 2008, before the photographers knew that either one had produced work on a similar subject.
